
Dr Eindra Aung

Dr Eindra Aung is a Principal Hospital Scientist (Clinical Research) at the Pain Management Research Institute/ Kolling Institute, Northern Sydney Local Health District, and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, School of Clinical Medicine, °IJʹ. She has 20 years of international and Australian experience in health services research and health promotion in chronic and lifelong conditions in both academic and non-academic settings. Her experience spans from implementing and evaluating a multi-site, multi-donor behaviour change communication program for HIV prevention and care in the real-world setting in Thailand to examining the role of self-management ability and self-management support in improving clinical outcomes and quality of life in people with type 2 diabetes using data from a large prospective cohort study in Queensland. She is currently evaluating the implementation of a care coordination pathway for people with chronic pain and the effectiveness of a mobile health intervention for people with gout.
