Thousands of health apps are available on the market. However, not all of them are evidence-based or of adequate quality. Researchers have identified 80 safety concerns related to health apps, 67 of which were associated with incorrect or inadequate information. This PhD project aims to capture and utilize multimodal data from publicly available health apps to explore new approaches for identifying harmful information and content in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate should:

  1. have a background in data science or computer science or other related fields;
  2. have research experience and an output (i.e. journal paper, master thesis);
  3. have interests in health.
