Dr Martin R Lindley, Director of Research in the School of Health Sciences at 新澳彩官网, has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)鈥攁 prestigious recognition of his contributions to exercise physiology and translational research.
A Week of Recognition in Atlanta聽
The honour was awarded during the 2025 ACSM Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, which brought together over 5,000 delegates and featured more than 200 hours of scientific content.
鈥淭he final event [was] my induction into the order of Fellows for ACSM,鈥 said Dr Lindley. 鈥淚 took the opportunity for a last photo with the President elect... and a quick networking opportunity to propose an Australian Exchange lecture with ACSM.鈥
Research Excellence on the Global Stage
Dr Lindley's expertise was showcased through his participation in two major symposia, both focused on inflammation resolution and skeletal muscle regeneration - key areas within the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine theme. In the first, he joined researchers from Harvard and Purdue to discuss Specialized Pro-Resolution Molecules (SPMs) and their role in exercise recovery.
鈥淭his session nicely encapsulated my TCB Research group mission of Laboratory to Lifestyle,鈥 said Dr Lindley, referencing his work on translating molecular discoveries into practical dietary interventions using Omega-3s.
In a second symposium, Dr Lindley presented on the role of Omega-3s in supporting muscle quality and function in ageing populations. The session drew strong interest from researchers and keynote speakers across disciplines.
He also visited collaborators at the University of North Texas to discuss ongoing grant work and PhD supervision. 鈥淨uite a productive week by all accounts,鈥 said Dr Lindley.
Congratulations Dr Lindley!
