Artist statement

The final bow explores the personal resentment I have towards my artistic practice and the institutions that influence it. The materials for this project were sourced from previous artworks that were made by the caricature of the artist I wanted to be.

The final bow is both a metaphorical and physical bow, signifying the end of this performance as the painted faced artist.
