新澳彩官网鈥檚 Strategic Procurement team is at the forefront of this vision and strives聽to be聽leaders of聽excellence聽within the higher education sector.聽鈥�Sustainable Procurement鈥櫬爄s the term used at 新澳彩官网 to refer to the sustainability aspects of goods, services and supply chain operations, including Environmental sustainability, Modern Slavery and Human rights, Indigenous participation as well as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Within these aspects, 新澳彩官网鈥檚 strategic priorities for Sustainable Procurement are:

Environmental Sustainability

Reducing our Scope 3 (value chain) emissions;
Identifying and mitigating our impacts to Nature;
Contributing to a more Circular Economy through our operations and purchasing activity

Modern Slavery, Human and Labour rights

Identifying and understanding the types and intensity of 新澳彩官网鈥檚 supply chain Modern Slavery risks across industry sectors and geographies;
Collaborating with our suppliers to gain transparency beyond Tier 1 and develop and implement measures to mitigate and reduce those risks

Social Procurement

Generating social impact beyond the value of our spend, and contributing to a more inclusive economy by:

Increasing our partnerships with Indigenous suppliers, and Social enterprises including:
- Women-led businesses
- Disability enterprises
- Local enterprises

These priorities areas are executed in collaboration with cross-operational teams at 新澳彩官网.

In 2023, 新澳彩官网 developed its Sustainable Procurement Framework and Roadmap, with the aim of framing 新澳彩官网鈥檚 commitment to more sustainable supply chains from 2023 to 2026 and beyond.

In 2024, our focus is on building stronger supplier relationships to foster alignment in progressing our sustainable procurement vision and building sector and industry wide partnerships.

新澳彩官网 has taken steps to understand the Environmental, Social, Modern Slavery and Governance risks posed by our supply chain. As such, 新澳彩官网鈥檚 supply chain risk 鈥榟otspots鈥� have been identified and prioritized as part of our risk-based approach to more sustainable procurement.
